Udupi, May 2: "Lord Sri Krishna is a politician, a politician installed in the name of God for founding religion. It is not important as to who has visited the Math and who has not. I have tremendous faith in Lord Krishna. I have come to visit the Math on behalf of the party as well as our government," said D K Shivakumar, minister for energy at Udupi after visiting the Sri Krishna Math along with his family on Wednesday May 2.
"Pejawar Swamiji also has blessed me. I will not divulge all those matters. Sri Krishna is a model to me. The election this time is between 'Dharma' and 'Adharma'. Congress is doing 'Dharma' and BJP follows 'Adharma'," D K Shivakumar said.
"Visiting the Math or not is an individual matter. It is true that chief minister Siddaramaiah did not visit Krishna Math. Siddaramaiah did not close the muzrai (endowment) department. We have given more power to the muzrai department. We have protected all religions," he added.
To a question on Prime Minister Narendra Modi showering praise on JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda in his Udupi rally, he said, "Let Modi praise Deve Gowda. Let Amit Shah also shower praise on Deve Gowda. Deve Gowda has already talked about the differences JD (S) has with BJP. He has even guided his son H D Kumaraswamy also. This is just big talk. Internal things are a secret. Who knows what is hidden in which sanctorum."
He further added, "Congress will win more than 130 seats. Income tax (IT) has attacked Congress relentlessly. BJP has to provide an answer for this."
