MP: Unidentified Persons Set Fire to Church

Ratlam / Madhya Pradesh, Sep 7: Unidentifed persons set afire a church at the Railway colony premises here today, police said.

The caretaker of the Barthlomew Protestant Church , Noel Pare, found the ancient structure burning at 4.00 a.m. and alerted the fire brigade which later doused the flames.

Senior police officers including Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Varun Kapoor and Suprintendent of Police (SP) Umesh Joga reached the spot soon after the incident.

Kapoor said that a case has been registered against unidentified persons and further probe is on.

Ratlam Collector Mahendra Gyani has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident.
