Kundapur, May 5: “The government of Narendra Modi at the centre has provided excellent administration in the country during the last four years and achieved highest possible development. Such development is possible also in the state if BJP government comes to power. Therefore, people here should elect BJP and make it reach the target of 150 seats in the upcoming elections,” said union minister of state for railways and communications, Manoj Sinha.

Speaking at a press meet at BJP zonal office in Byndoor on Friday, May 4 he said that Congress government in Karnataka has failed in all the fronts. “Law and order situation has deteriorated. Good officials are either migrating to other states or resigning. Women and children are being raped. The funds provided by the centre for development are being misused. The works of smart city are limping. The government meanwhile tries somehow to come back to power in elections. However, it will remain only a dream,” he said.

He put forth the list of achievements of Modi government in the last four years. He mentioned Ujwal project for the poor, construction of houses, rural electrification and construction of toilets through Swachh Bharath mission. Explaining the achievements of railway department in Karnataka, he said that new line of 300 kilometres has been laid, tracks over 252 kilometres are made two way, 665 kilometres converted as electric tracks and 41 bridges are constructed. “Extra facilities are provided for railway passengers. Bharath Sanchar Nigam will be modernized to enable it to compete with private telephone providers. Broad band service will be provided to all the villages. Priority will be given to social concern rather than profit. Banking facilities will be provided in post offices,” he said.

“BJP has already come to power in 20 states. The trend will definitely continue in Karnataka. Byndoor candidate Sukumar Shetty is a sincere politician. Excellent service will be provided through him. People are sure to support him,” he said.

Deepak Kumar Shetty welcomed the gathering. B M Sukumar Shetty, in-charge Bharathi Shetty and Navinchandra Uppunda were present.
