Right-wing organisations disrupt namaz in Gurgaon

Gurgaon, May 5 (PTI): Right-wing organisations on May 4 disrupted namaz at several places here, police said. They said they were present at the namaz sites and prevented any violence from taking place.

Hindutva organisations have been trying to stop Friday prayers in Gurgaon over the last two weeks alleging that some people were trying to grab land in a bid to merge it with a mosque.

There were disruptions to namaz at Wazirabad, Atul Kataria Chowk, Cyber Park, Bakhtawar Chowk and at South City, the police said.

Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Kranti Dal, Gau Rakshak Dal and Shiv Sena arrived at the spots where people had assembled to offer Friday prayers.

Ritu Raj, a member of a Hindutva organisation, claimed that they organised a havan at Wazirabad to stop the namaz.

They allegedly shouted slogans like Jai Shri Ram and Radhe Radhe to disrupt the namaz.

The Gurgaon Police spokesperson, Ravindra Kumar, said they received no complaint from any side.

He said police will take further action once they receive a complaint.

This is the new strategy of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The countdown to the general elections in 2019 has begun. Prior to this, polls to several assemblies have become a focal point for the ruling BJP at the Centre and opposition parties. The politics of communal polarisation is sought to be played out ahead of state assembly elections, Lok Sabha by-poll and to sustain it till the next Lok Sabha election.

As expected, the BJP has already started playing the communal card to win both assembly and the next year’s Lok Sabha elections. Testament to this is how the incidents of communal violence have become more frequent in the country. Time and again we’ve seen the involvement of saffron party members or key functionaries in these incidents of violence. Communal riots have been more intense with alarming regularity particularly in BJP-ruled states. On 25 March, Ram Navmi processions sparked off violence in West Bengal, Bihar, Rajasthan and other states in which Muslims were targeted, their places of worships desecrated and their women molested.
According to media reports and civil-society led investigations, riots in Aransol, Bhagalpur and Alwar during Ram Navmi processions were well-planned. Weapons were distributed and provocative slogans were raised under a well thought-out strategy. These were aimed at targeting Muslims.
UP tops the list of the incidents of communal violence. A report published in The Times of India says that the percentage of riots in UP has gone up since the BJP came to power. That is the reason why, compared to 2014, the number of riots in 2015 had dramatically increased. This trend continued in 2016-17.
The report for 2018 is yet to be released, but all available indications suggest that the figures will be significantly higher.
In south Delhi, the tomb dating back to the Tughlaq dynasty to becoming Shiv Bhola temple 2 months ago. But no mass media reported it. In Haryana for years Muslim performing Friday prayers become controversial.

This kind of opposition from the right wing will continue in future. Better these Muslim brothers should think and go to Mosque and observe Namaaz and prayer without disturbing the general public.

Why suddenly offering namaz in public becoming an issue .it has never been an issue before . Is it because of the upcoming election , so that people will start forgetting about the unfulfilled promises made to them and start to indulge in such non issues. it is a tactic to divert people from real issues .
