Muscat, May 7: The Red Carpet is all set to be rolled out for Annual Day of Mangalore Catholic Centre of the Parish (MCCP) – Muscat along with the super lightening musical show ‘Wilson Olivera Nite’ at Le Grande Hall, Al Falaj Hotel, Muscat on May 11 at 5. 00 pm.
The event is presented by the Orbit Event Management.
President of MCCP - Muscat Sunil Furtado and his executive committee members are all set to present the 26th Annual Day that would have no parallels in the past in terms of grandeur, pomp and splendor. The day begins with Mass in Konkani at 10.00 am at Sts Peter and Paul Church, Ruwi. Soon after Mass and breakfast, all MCCP members will gather in the Parish Hall for the Annual Report presentation and the nomination of the new Committee for the year 2018-19.
At 5.00 pm sharp, get ready for 'Wilson Olivera Nite' striking your hearts. Popularly known as ‘Sangeeth Sardar’, Wilson Olivera who is one of the most popular composers and entertainers in the Konkani music industry will be accompanied by biggest names in Konkani to bedazzle and enchant the entire community of Oman. The Konkani hearts are sure to skip a beat as they will be spectators to one of the most popular and latest hit compositions of Wilson Olivera during the show.
Wilson Olivera made his professional debut in the year 1994. Since then he became dominant figure in Konkani music by achieving many prestigious awards and titles. With his first music album which released in the year 1998 became quite popular among Konkani music lovers. Needless to say, with his momentous lyrics and melodious voice, he is a musical heart throb among Konkani music lovers. As on date he has seven super hit music albums to his credits and 50 plus successful musical shows led by his own compositions, hosted at Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and now with the latest extravaganza hitting a prime venue in Muscat, Oman.
Ronald Olivera does the honors of being the Master of Ceremony for this Musical Nite. A prolific speaker with mastery in anchoring programmes in five different languages has not only won the hearts of Konkani lovers, but also people of other languages. He is the Gulf Champion of Public Speaking in Toastmaster’s’ for four consecutive years.
The genius music director Roshan D’Souza Angelore will make this event a perfect amalgamation of mesmerizing music for Olivera’s compositions. He has directed music for the Konkani film ‘Noshibacho Khell’ and several Konkani musical shows.
Along with Wilson Olivera additional highlights of the show are complimented by renowned singers like Babitha Pinto, Preema D’Souza, Pradeep Pinto and Vinay Lewis, all being popular names in the Konkani world of music.
This annual day of MCCP will be a power packed house of entertainment with a variety of dance performances by young and aspiring dancers from Muscat. In addition to this, the audience will also witness a dose of comedy from the ever popular comedy group ‘Konkan Tharam- Dubai' led by Royston D’souza- Balkunje, who are sure to create a riot of laughter among the crowd with their hilarious jokes and one liners and will definitely be an added attraction of the musical show.
