Mangaluru, May 7: Alva's English Medium School student, Pranshula Prashanth has secured 624 marks in SSLC and has stood second in the state and first in Dakshina Kannada district.

Hailing from Moodbidri Pranshula is the daughter of Prashanth Kumar Y, electronic engineer of Birla group, Harihar and Chetana, a home maker. Pranshula has secured 99 marks in Mathematics and 100 marks out of 100 in all the other subjects.

She completed her primary education at Aditya Birla School, Harihar and 6th and 7th standard at Rotary English Medium School, Moodbidri. She had secured 97% marks while in seventh standard. Pranshula has passed fourth stage Bharatanatyam examination at Gandharva Institute, Harihar. She takes active part in drawing and badminton.

She states that her father is the inspiration for her achievements. “The encouragement by her mother and retired physical education teacher of Mahaveera College, Nemiraj are the reasons for my achievements. Alva's education foundation president Dr M Mohan Alva and the guidance from all my teachers, made me secure high marks. Additional coaching in the school, study of three hours in the evening at home and morning studies too are responsible for the excellent marks. I desire to continue my studies in science at Alva's institute. I am confident of securing high marks here as well.”
