Light rains likely in Delhi


New Delhi, May 9 (IANS): It was a partly cloudy morning in the national capital on Wednesday with the minimum temperature recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, the weather office said.

"Very light rains or thunder showers likely to occur later in the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

The city received trace rainfall in the last 24 hours. The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 55 per cent.

Tuesday's maximum temperature settled at 34.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius.
