Udupi, May 10: As a pleasant special gift for the music lovers of Konkani, talented singer Lawrence D'Souza released his second musical album ‘Chintlam’ in the presence of an esteemed gathering at his residence Sunshine Villa at Palimar on Wednesday, May 9.
Walter Nandalike, Founder, Daijiworld Media Group, released the album and said, “In his first album ‘Istageeth’ he proved his ability and talent. He created a history in Konkani music world by releasing the same album in a music app. For an amateur singer, it is his great achievement. After the success of his first album, now he has come out with second album ‘Chintlam’. It is a musical package of beautiful tunes, heart touching lyrics and mesmerizing music. The subjects of the songs are close to people’s life. So there is no doubt that this album will be a big hit in Konkani music world,”
Expressing his happiness on releasing second album, Lawrence said, “The support and acceptance of ‘Istageeth’ by music lovers encouraged me to release ‘Chintlam’. I released my first album in music app LVL tunes and got tremendous support. It has reached every corner of the world. I hope that 'Chintlam' will also get success and attract the music lovers. I thank my music directors, singers, and lyricists. I also thank everyone who has rendered their service in the production of ‘Chintlam’,"
"‘Chintlam’ consists of 13 songs rich in poetic style and melody, touching upon social issues besides the theme of love and romance. The songs are carefully picked to suit the taste of the listeners across genres,” he informed.
Producer Veena D Souza, music directors Dolwin Kolalgiri and Roshan V Carderio were present.
The lyricists, singers, music directors and production team were felicitated on the occasion. A video version of one of the songs from 'Chintlam' was presented during the programme. Alwyn Danthy compered the event.
Renowned Konkani lyrists, Wilson Kateel, Jocy Siddakatte, Vincy Lasrado, Vincy Pinto, Joel Attur, Roshan Sanctis and Lawrence himself have written the lyrics for this album. Coastal wood music director Dolwin Kolalgiri has composed music for eight songs while promising musicians Roshan V Carderio has given music for five songs.
Majority of the tunes have been composed by Dolwin Kolalgiri while Roshan V Carderio, Vincent Lasrado, Gavin Menezes and Jocy Siddakatte have each composed a tune. The album has been recorded at Daijiworld Audio Visual Studio. Renowned sound engineer Srinivas from Chennai has mixed and mastered the music.
Famous stars of Konkani music world Prajoth D'Sa, Joshal Sweeda, Joel Attur, Anitha D’Souza, and Ashwin D’Costa have rendered their voices to ‘Chintlam’. Nihal Tauro, Mohammad Iqbal, Dolwin, Gavin, Asha Fernandes, Steven Aranha, and Jasmine Inish D’Souza have also lent their voices for the album along with Lawrence who is already popular for his melodious voice.
