Mangaluru: FIR registered against activist Robert Rosario for spreading hatred

Mangaluru, May 12: A complaint stands registered at Kadri police station here against activist Robert Rosario for allegedly spreading hatred in the society during the ongoing state assembly election.

The complaint was filed by Deepak D’Souza Attavar on Friday, May 11.

Deepak D’Souza filed the complaint after a video made by Robert Rosario was sent to voters through WhatsApp and Facebook on Friday.

The complaint reads, “As per the model code of conduct, distorted facts cannot be published to confuse the voters, besides creating enmity between various religious communities. Robert Rosario, a BJP activist, is spreading false news. He has created a video with his statements accusing the Christian priests on the Church attacks which took place in September 2008. He has accused of them of many matters so that Hindu voters will get ill feeling and vote for BJP,”

“His statements have been inciting religious hatred against the entire Catholic community, besides rift with other communities. The statements, in the video made by him, will create communal disharmony. Besides ridiculing clergy community, he has given the statements in such a way that the Catholic community is planning to vote for Congress party. His allegations are false, baseless and without any substance,” the statement continues.

Deepak D’Souza has requested the police to stop Robert Rosario from spreading hatred in society and to take action against him at the soonest.

First Information Report (FIR) was registered by Kadri police on Saturday, May 12 against Robert Rosario under section 153 (A) of IPC.

Robert attacked all the priests by that means all the churches. In fact he attacked all the catholic community. Our priests are also humans, tend to do mistakes. Mr Robert needs anti rabies vaccination,he forgot that he raised in catholic background.he is like musical monkey one party to another, shame to say because of him his family will pointed out in the society. as he is barking like this in community,imagine he German shepherd at home.

This the same Robert, who was in the news when student Kavyya's death happened in Alva's College in Moodabidri. He was speaking very badly about Alva's management in of the TV local channels. That time some have aired the opinion saying he is anti Alva's institution.

His career history is not consistent and whatever video shows is well planned video to divert reality by certain vested interest.. 10 years have passed and for the new young generation this is just a history but for me, it was a very well planned game plan to destroy the social fabric by the fringe elements.

On September 14, 2008 then Bajrang Dal chief Mahendra Kumar called a press conference in Mangalore along with VHP leader MB Puranik.
Bajrang Dal activists had attacked a nunnery in the city, 15 more churches were attacked by Hindutva activists in Coastal Karnataka.
At that press conference, which this reporter attended, Kumar and Puranik claimed responsibility for the attacks.
In a joint statement, they warned of more attacks if Christian missionaries didn't stop converting Hindus. The next few days saw similar attacks across the state. Kumar was arrested on September 19 and later sacked from post of state convenor of the Bajrang Dal.
Robert Rosario is mentally ill.

Brother in case of PUB attacks, there are videos lot of people have seen it. I dont know wether the case is fully closed. However, the same is not true with the Church attacks. I am to curious to know the truth because it was not one church. even in the difficult case of Gauri, the police zeroed in at some suspects. really amazing case.

If someone issues a statement which could be a lie no matter how ridiculous that may be , there are certain percentage of population that are going to believe it. Robert Rosario was founding member of AAP in Mangalore division as a main coordinator and he inaugurated Aam Admis first step in Mangaloredevision then inviting Yogendra Yadav as a main celebrant,

Things were moving slowly further and one fine day AAP nominated Vasudeva as MP candidate from Mangalore, Robert revolted and in a public meeting, AAP members removed Robert Toppi in from of everyone including Media.

Days are not far if Robert continues to do like this one special day BJP will not turn back to remove his not only Toppi but Chaddi also without he not knowing.

My one simple question to my fellow brethren irrespective of religion & caste who are blindly supporting this so called self proclaimed activist - for god sake if there is at least 10% truth in his claim & also if he had enough evidence in his claim then why he didn't disclose this during or before the last 2013 election period and how & why he awakened only during 2018 election crunch time after a period of almost 10 years gap?????.

Prakash Rai never/never spoke anything against any religion or any religious clergy or any spiritual/devotional place but he spoke about only political party's wrong doings and I believe every true citizen like us irrespective of religion or caste have constitutional right to express our views against any political party's wrong doings or not fulfilling election promises to fellow citizens wellbeing but not against any religion for political gain without having any legal proof. Robert Rosario is directly attacking/accusing one particular religion and their clergy for political gain without having any concrete proof, this act should be condemned by every citizen of India because such people are poisonous and biggest threat to our peace loving society irrespective of religion and caste because such people don't have any religion/caste or moral ground and they may fall to any cheap level to defame today one religion and tomorrow another and that's what their hidden political agenda to instill bad feeling about inter religion faith and provoke people to fight against each religion, so we must unite together irrespective of religion and caste to eradicate such evil elements from our peace loving society.

Mangalore people experienced bitterness of Church attack by Bajarangdal in Mangalore. . We Catholics experienced that. Started in MOnastry it spread in other churches also these bajarandal youngsters started attaching otherl churches christians stood alert and therefore further their work stopped.Maximum christians closed their shops and prayed in the churches.

Who is this fellow. What type of heart he got to speak against church and Priests.

All Christians should ask him about his speech given in the above video.Let him answer.
