Dubai, Sep 13: Bellevision UAE, the association of all Belleans residing in UAE, celebrated the Monthi fest on Thursday September 11 at 8.30 pm at Karama Centre Party Hall. All the children gathered around the beautifully decorated bambino of infant Mary and showered flowers as the gathering sang the hymn "Moriyek hogollsiya".
A short stage programme followed, graced by Ronald Olivera, a renowned Konkani writer and the community leader, in the capacity of the chief guest of the evening, accompanied by Tony Sequeira, founder member of Bellevision UAE, and the president Vally Alva.
Vally Alva welcomed the gathering. The chief guest praised the leadership and the unity of Bellevision and opined, that Belle has abundant availability of leadership and he fondly remembered his association with Belle parishioners for the past couple of decades.
Selfless efforts of Sigfred D'Souza were recognized and he was felicitated for his total dedication for bellevision.com
Vally Alva reminded the efforts of Bellevision, UAE in sponsoring the education needs of 54 students back home in Moodubelle. He also explained the future road map and projects which Bellevision will be undertaking in near future and solicited support from all the members. The evening was simply superb with entertainment programmes like innovative dances, group song- Mando, Adkulore Budkulo,and many other melodies, entertaining skits by talented Avil, Ivan, John and group, to end with Western classicals with high pitch and Baila to mark the end of the evening. Gumta podaam by Sanny Monis Boliye and group was a real treat to the audience and the performance was glorious.
Housie Housie was conducted by Ivan and Preema. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shanthi. The programme was compered by new found talents - Godwin and Lavina and they kept the gathering alive with wonderful synchronization and timely quotes. "Novem Jevan" was provided by Arab Udupi Restaurant and enjoyed by the gathering of around 250 people.
