Udupi, May 27: After BJP state president and leader of the opposition B S Yeddyurappa praised former chief minister Siddaramaiah in Assembly just before the trust vote of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday, another BJP senior leader and Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje has praised Siddaramaiah.

Shobha Karandlaje was speaking to reporters here on Sunday, May 27. It is remembered that Shobha used every occasion to attack Siddaramaiah before the elections.

“Congress wanted Siddaramaiah to get votes from Kurubas. Siddaramaiah is responsible for the victory of Congress in 78 constituencies. Sonia and Rahul Gandhi both wanted Siddaramaiah before the elections and praised him a lot. Once elections are over, he is not needed. Now neither Congress nor JD (S) needs him. At last now Siddaramaiah should understand the ‘use and throw’ policy of Congress,” Shobha said.

“Congress wants ministers who give money. Siddaramaiah is paying for his sins now,” she added.

“JD(S) and Congress have two high commands, one in Padmanabha Nagar and one is New Delhi,” she said.

Yeddyurappa, during his speech in the Assembly, had criticised H D Kumaraswamy for ‘mistreating’ Siddaramaiah. He had said that Kumaraswamy had forgotten the man who made him the chief minister for allegedly sidelining Siddaramaiah during the former’s swearing in ceremony.

Yeddyurappa had also made references to other Congress leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and also leaders from other parties who ‘ignored’ Siddaramaiah while they posed for photographs showing solidarity after the ceremony.
