First Indian PM who takes spontaneous questions with pre-scripted answers: Rahul

New Delhi, Jun 4(Zee News): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the latter’s recent interaction at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. It so happened at the event that Prime Minister answered a question from the audience on 21st century belonging to Asia in Hindi, and when his translator gave the answer in English, she spoke several lines that were not part of Modi’s statement.

Sharing a video of the interaction on microblogging site Twitter, the Congress president said that while Prime Minister Modi claims to take “spontaneous” questions, his translator already has “pre-scripted answers” for them.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “The first Indian PM who takes "spontaneous" questions that the translator has pre-scripted answers to! Good that he doesn't take real questions. Would have been a real embarrassment to us all if he did.”

Here’s what Prime Minister Modi said: “21st century belongs to Asia. The biggest challenge is whether we the people of Asia feel it or not. Are we just getting happy listening to it, or is the feeling getting developed within that yes, we have to make 21st century the century of Asia. Even today, we are so influenced by other parts of the world, because we have spent that life for a long time. That is why even we don't feel that it's our turn now and we can do something and we have to do it.”

Following the remarks by the Prime Minister, the translator said, “First of all I think the biggest challenge before us is that the 21st century belongs to Asia and do we really feel this ourselves? Do we have this sentiment? I think that is what is the biggest challenge, because in this part of the world we have been so much impressed by the rest of the world that we now do not feel that it is our turn. Asia has seen the maximum rise in prosperity, opportunity and freedom in the world.

Japan led the economy, Asian tigers followed. China has become a major economy and it is India's turn to sustain progress now. Yet Asia has many common challenges. South East Asia in particular has similar strength and opportunities, weakness and challenges. There are the following challenges that are common - skills for the digital age, creating adequate jobs in the age of digital reception, agricultural productivity, water, pollution, rapid and mass urbanisation, sustainable habitats and affordable housing, climate change, protection of bio-diversity, building sustainable infrastructure, affordable healthcare, protecting our ocean or blue economy. These challenges require collaboration among...”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also taken a dig at Prime Minister Modi over the video, calling it “hilarious”.

Modi used to mockingly call his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh “Maun Mohan Singh”, but he has beaten Singh in his bid to take away the meta-institutional respectability of a free press.

Unlike Modi, who is an elected prime minister, Singh was a nominated prime minister. But Singh did not shy away from press briefings. He held at least two each year and regularly spoke to the media aboard his flight during foreign trips.

This is the reason PM Terrified of Holding Even a Single Press Conference in neutral avenue represented by International and national journalist on his own government policies.

His speeches these days are just like gramophone record playing same broken record stuck in a groove repeating same lines Italy,Gandhi,Nehru and at the end Bharat Mata ki Jai.

Perhaps PM Modi is the first Prime Minister of India in 70 years having graduated in 'Entire Political science' degree don't even know how to spell looking at teleprompter 'M-R-S' for Mrs.

I too have watched this comedy show, it was full of blunders. The most conspicuous one was, at some stage he says ' With in a radius of 400 square kilometers' . I was ROFL because, from my primary school geometry I remember that unit of radius is linear, just kilometer and not square. And this blunder took place in Singapore of all places, a country with highest average IQ in the world.

Narendra Bhai's audiences, particularly those closer to the podium, are all invited devotees.

It does not matter whether the talk is in India or abroad.

And some of these are selected to ask the questions. They have to just read out the questions given to them.

He is also the first PM who never addressed a single press conference. This shows that he hates Democracy. He only answers the pre-scripted questions of Gulami Times Now & Republic channels. Surely India deserves someone better than this one.

For once Nagesh Nayak is correct. Modi advised Singapore how to develop, sitting in Gujarat as a CM.

When Modi promoted himself as PM, he took tours of developed nations as well as Singapore but India is where it was before four years.

From Modi got money for his imported Mashrooms ? The producer charged Singapore with the bill.

Please don't insult present PM of India so much. Atleast be mindful of his 56" chest and his creation of job opportunities to highly qualified professionals as Pakoda and chai vendors. Forget Singapore even the good old British empire was built by him from 10th century onwards. F-16 fighter jets, Internet, journalism, space reasearch, communications and media, test tube babies were some of his brain child about 10 million years ago. He was so pre occupied with these developments he had no concept of decent, clean, modern Toilet. He is still diehard part of his RSS Lotta Party.
