Govt working to free housing sector of corruption, middlemen: PM Modi

New Delhi, Jun 5 (PTI): The government has been working to free the housing sector of corruption and middlemen to ensure people get their own houses without hassle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today.

He also said that use of latest technology is ensuring faster building of houses for the poor in rural and urban areas at affordable cost.

"We have been working to free the housing sector from middlemen, corruption and ensuring that the beneficiaries get their own home without hassles," Modi said while addressing beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) through video conference.

He also said the housing sector is being invigorated with the latest technology. "This is enabling faster construction of affordable houses for the poor in towns and villages," the prime minister said.

Modi said the focus is to ensure more women, 'divyang' (differently abled) , people from SC, ST, OBC and minority communities get access to housing.

"PMAY is linked with dignity of our citizens. Due to PMAY, there are employment opportunities being created for the people. At the same time, we are working on skill development to enable faster and better quality construction of the houses," he said.

The prime minister has been interacting with beneficiaries of various central schemes.

Nation saved 50,000 crores by aadhar linkage only.
Congress can take credit for introducing it,
Modi can credit for its successful implementation.

    Freeing housing sector from corruption?
    Sounds so great!
But reality is contrast, how brazen are those buy MLA'S for ₹100 crore each
    Just to form Govt?
How the bribing money collected in the past and would be collected
    again in future?
    No action on them?

After Modiji assumed PMs post , increased service tax,new GST made housing costlier by minimum 2 lakhs for people of middle income group those who are paying income tax since years.....
Houses under construction during demonetisation again delayed the process of obtaing ownership due to delay in delivery which again caused financial loss.....
Now what is left in creating housing sector from middlmen...only corruption us refined ,legalised ..that's all.
While introducing new procedures, tax please see what are the pros and cons for common man who is struggling to live a honest living. That itself is a great noon to the people.

HENRY MISQUITH, Bahrain...its up to you my friend!..be with good culture, automatically society will be Rape free.....for this also you want Prime Minister Yojane or Bhagya!!??

Moreover, government must bring strong policies and controls on property/land business. each purchase, sales transaction must be monitored, recorded by government and government must tax the people who owns more than two properties and commission agents must have well educated, experienced and their recruitment thru government itself...all these may minimize corruption and price control to help the general public to survive
Property and Petrol are two main issues, where our government must take pro people measures...

This is nothing but Jhumla as Corruption has been given a free hand by the Modi Govt and every one seems to be making Hay when the Lotus shines. There is no Accountability at all for corruption under the Modi regime except for vindictive action against opposition politicians.
