Lashkar-e-Taiba threatens bomb blasts in UP; high alert sounded across state

Lucknow, Jun 6(PTI): Police in Uttar Pradesh has issued a statewide alert after the Lashkar-e-Taiba threatened to blow up several stations as well as the Krishna Janmabhoomi and the Kashi Vishwanath temples in a letter by a commander of the group, a senior official said today.

The letter, sent to Northern Railways last month, was purportedly sent by Lashkar-e-Taiba area commander Maulana Ambu Shaikh, he said.

The letter was received by the Northern Railways, New Delhi, on May 29.

It threatened to blow up the Saharanpur and Hapur railway stations and other stations as well.

"In the wake of the letter, an alert has been issued across the state," the senior police official told PTI.

It also threatens to carry out blasts at the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura and the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi and mentions the dates, June 8-10, the official said.

Officials have been directed to keep strict vigil across the state and ensure proper security of sensitive places.

This terror high alert is nothing but BJP's strategy deflect the attention of citizens of India from its failure.
One of the reason is farmers 10 days strike which followed by bank employee staff for days. Entire north India is gripped by farmers protest and vegetable prices are already skyrocketing.

I would say this alert is just like terrorist being caught prior to every Independence day or Republic day.
Being failed in all front BJP only hopes are using 'nationalism' to the maximum. This way they don't need to offer anything for the poor of India and at the same time divert attention from original issues.
After losing four Lok Sabha seats in UP in By polls, now BJP has to intensify nationalism or communalism keeping in view of 2019 elections.

Other than PM Modi's India, no nation in the world will give such sensitive secret until its foiled to the media. But 'surgical strike' and 'terror strike' coincides with the elections is highly doubtable.

Prior to the elections I fear 'Saffron terror' may once again resurface to help BJP to win elections.
