Vijayapura: BJP MLA Yatnal stirs controversy by making anti-Muslim comments

Daijiworld Media Network – Vijayapura (EP)

Vijayapura, Jun 7: Vijayapura BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has created a new controversy saying that he will not allow women who are wearing burqa in his office.

Speaking in a programme held in Vijayapura on Thursday, he said “Women wearing burqa should not be seen near my office. Muslims have not voted for me. Only Hindus have elected me. Therefore, only Hindus will be allowed in my office,”

He is the second BJP leader in the state after union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde who is caught up in such controversy.

Yatnal also said that he won only because of Hindu votes. “Those who grow beard, wear caps and wear burqa should not wander in front of my office. Do not work in favour of Muslims,” he told the people who attended the programme.

These are the kind of monsters that people in Karnataka willingly voted for. When religious hatred becomes the sole criteria for voting, we end up here. In my decades following Karnataka politics, I have rarely seen any politician say that people of xyz community did not vote for me, therefore they shouldn't come to my office. Mr Patil should know that becoming MLA or being in a majority doesn't mean becoming God. One day, he or his kin may meet with a big calamity, and who knows, the only person who can help would be someone wearing the same minority he so very much despises. I hope that day arrives. The lord has a way of dealing with arrogant fanatics in a brutal manner

Personally, I feel, there should be an age limit and physical fitness certificate be made mandatory prior to giving party tickets to these unstable people.

If a person made a remark like the one Yatnal did, in Canada or elsewhere, he could be easily charged with hate speech and spend time in Jail. Banning a face cover in public and telling everyone that a member of a religion should not come near me (as if they were dogs) is like chalk and cheese, but how would a sanghi with hate-filled filth in his brain understand the difference?

Hello, Yatnal you better think before you speak. The food, cloth, vehicles, water, money, medication, and all your needs are taken care of by human beings, not Hindus. If you want only Hindus in your office you better stay 24 hours a day and until your death there only.

Discrimination in workplace can be in different forms; there might be a single reason or a combination of multiple grounds of discrimination. Discrimination in a workplace may constitute in form of: 1. Age, 2. Sex, 3. Qualification, 4. Disability, 5. Pregnancy, 6. National origin, 7. Race/ Colour, 8. Religion, 9. Sexual harassment, 10. Equal pay or compensation, 11. Region/Place of origin, 12. Caste and 13. Ethnicity.

The Constitution of India has several provisions which grant certain fundamental rights to its citizen, which includes right to equality.

Article 14 guarantees Equality before Law.

Article 15 prohibits state from discrimination on the grounds of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth.

Article 16 empowers the state to make reservations with respect to appointment for posts in favour of backward classes of citizens if in the opinion of state such classes are under-privileged.

In India, one of the forms of discrimination that affects around 18 % of the workforce is discrimination on the basis of caste. Under the Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955 if a person molests, injures, annoys, boycott, obstructs, or insults or attempt to do such act toward a person of Scheduled Caste, that person may be punished with imprisonment of term not less than one month and may extend upto six months and with fine not less than one hundred rupees and not more than five hundred rupees. If a person of Scheduled Caste faces boycott in form of not allowing that person to work or do business with other person or receive from him the services he renders, or any other things which are commonly done in ordinary course of a business is a punishable offence and he may file a FIR in the local police station.
His diktat is against the ethos of constitution of India. He should tender an written apology or face criminal case which amounts disqualification as government servant.
He is the model of BJP's good governance ?

BJP leaders should make him apologize, If not then Modi and today Rajnath speech about Muslims is all drama. It's only politics that make them speak.
RSS and VHP providing iftar for Muslims, it's all drama, Intention to show that they are secular because they want to campaign be for 2019 elections.
See Daku started meeting Ally's now, because he can feel that he cannot unite all Hindus. This BJP govt, most corrupt one. If there is price hike all bakths are not bothered, they support the prices to go even higher, they will never criticize .

Those who want to fire brand leader in BJP they must go against muslims hard without any reason then they will get big post like president, secretary etc. whole BJP unit from Prime minister to karyakarthas are anti muslims and anti christians which is proved all the time before independence and as of now. Muslims are not worried about this and they are well prepared to tackle them. Jai Bharath. Jai Humanity.
