Bantwal: Body of missing BJP activist found

Bantwal, Jun 11: The body of Ramesh Gowda (45), an active BJP worker, who had disappeared all of a sudden eight days back, was found from Padimugeru AMR Dam at Shamboor village in the taluk on Sunday June 10 evening.

Ramesh Gowda was actively working for BJP. He is survived by wife and two children.

BJP leaders, G Anand, taluk office employee, Sadashiva Kaikamba, Sundar, Chandrashekhar and Sheetal visited the spot and conducted inquest. It is suspected that Ramesh would have accidentally slipped and drowned in water when taking bath.

A case about the said unnatural death was registered in the rural police station here.

    Very sad his body is found in water.kindly try to findout whether death was unnatural,caused by not slipping into water but by any one responsible for his death.It is unnatural in a rainy season a politician goes to water to take bath.without anyone with him .He would have informed home people suppose he goes to water.may his soul rest in peace. I feel someone had thrown the body into water after they harmed him.Heartfelt sympathy to hs family.

    Why public water reservoirs are used for bathing by people ? They are polluting the water that is supplied for peoples consumption. Swachch Bhaarat Abhiyaan at its best.

    Hope Akka/Anna will not suspect foul play in his going to bathe outside.

    He might have fell down were he was bathing and body came out of the stream due to heavy rain and might have reached AMR DAM.

    All that is applicable to a dead body on land, not in water. In water, within 24 hours the body comes afloat and decay starts immediately in sweet waters, it takes longer time if it is in the sea. How on earth did his body remain to be recognizable after 8 long days ?
