Spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj commits suicide in Madhya Pradesh

Indore, Jun 12 (TOI): Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, a spiritual leader with a strong following in Maharashtra, committed suicide in Indore on Tuesday. Madhya Pradesh DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra confirmed that the spiritual leader committed suicide by shooting himself.

After hearing about the news of his death, hundreds of his supporters gathered outside the Bombay Hospital where he was admitted. According to TV reports, he was brought dead to the hospital.

Bhaiyyuji, who is originally from Indore in Madhya Pradesh, was close to many political leaders. Bhaiyyuji, originally Udaysinh Deshmukh, was the founder of institutions like Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust, Suryodaya Ashram.

He had refused to accept the minister of state status conferred on him by the Madhya Pradesh government. Earlier, he was quoted by the news agency IANS as saying "A post holds no importance for a saint. All he ought to think of is service to the people. When a post or status does not touch your mind, intellect or conscience, why think about it."

    Spiritual leader Bhaiyyu ji Maharaj, who was recently accorded a cabinet rank by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has ended his life by shooting himself in Indore.

    In April he was accorded a cabinet rank by Shivraj government, but he had refused the offer. “A post holds no importance for a saint. All he has ought to think of is service to the people. When a post or status does not touch your mind, intellect or conscience, why think about it, the news agency IANS had quoted him as saying.

    In May last year, the self-styled guru was caught in controversy after an actor, Mallika Rajput, sensationally accused him of cheating on her. Rajput, who had recently quit BJP saying that the party shielded rapists, had alleged, “Bhaiyyu Maharaj is a trcikster. I have worked hard and wrote a book on him. He has its 950 copies with him for two and a half years.

    “He had kept me in an illusion and now calls me from different numbers. Do not trust him. I will send him a court notice for not returning my book. I have his letter too. He is a puppet of lies and nothing else.”
    This is nothing but another sex den operated in the name of spirituality in country of Godman's who earns more than white collar employee and get political support.
    Every BJP ruled state this Godman become influencer to get votes. Dera Sacha supported BJP in Haryana, Asaram who found Shiva in Modi in Gujrat and now computer baba, spin baba and so on..

    RELIGION is a pure state of mind ! its nothing to do with in Public Life. In India Religion some people taken as a family business, someone taken as a Political mileage to garner the votes.

    People who scares about death which is ultimate truth - go for religion
    People who unfortunate or poor or very poor - go for religion for the MAGIC of fortune.
    People doesn't bothered about above is enjoying the life who are the luckiest in the world.

    Have you heard of Rock Hudson the Hollywood star, first hollywod celebrity to succumb to AIDS? He was one of those 'lucky' ones as per your definition, was really enjoying his life to the hilt. Then AIDS struck him and during his last days he was seen visiting many holy places as a last resort. Moral of the story : Sankata bandaaga Venkataramana.
