Man kidnaps, rapes, murders 1-yr-old in Pune; caught on CCTV

Pune, Jun 16 (DC): A man was arrested in Pune on Friday for allegedly kidnapping, raping and then murdering a 1-year-old baby girl.

On Thursday, the accused Malhari Bansode kidnapped the minor while she was sleeping with her parents on the side of a road near the Loni Kalbhor railway station. The girl's parents are labourers and hail from Tamil Nadu.

On realising that the girl was missing around midnight, her mother filed a complaint with the local police.

The police swung into action and within a few hours found the minor's body in a nearby area.

A medical examination revealed she was sexually assaulted before her head was smashed against the ground, police said.

"During the investigation, we found CCTV footage in which a man was purportedly seen taking away a girl. Our detection team zeroed in on the accused and during interrogation, he confessed to raping and killing her," a senior police officer said.

A case has been registered and Bansode has been booked
under relevant sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, the officer said.

Horrible and shocking.Girl baby is only a year old,and how he could he simply rape her and later kill her?Does he not have any children ?When a cow is missing and people doubt someone ,without even asking and thinking they beat them and many times kill him/them.Now this a year old baby is not worth than a cow.?No words here to say how we feel with this family .may the baby may be with angels above .This man should be hanged in public. No mercy more to rapers.Enough is enough.why politicians are not doing anything towards this?

This fellow is NOT a man but a devil incarnate, and there are many such devils roaming around; in the bygone eras people blamed the "tribals" descending from the hills and snatching away babies left alone. This is happening increasingly in modern times, and the devils in great numbers are at large. Sooner they are rounded up the better will it be, but devils don't care, they reappear in different guises.
