Dubai, Sept 22: Karaval Milan, Dubai, an association Kallianpur and Kundapur deanery parishioners residing in the UAE has always believed in unity as their main strength of existence. Whatever steps taken or the programmes organized, Karaval Milan has always emerged has winner. No doubt the Almighty Lord and Mother Mary have blessed Karaval Milan abundantly. For thanking the Almighty and Mother Mary, Karaval Milan members along with their families gathered to celebrate the feast of Nativity at the Residence of Clarence Fernandes (Nanu Marol Thottam) on Friday September 19.
Programme started at 8.00 pm with a warm welcome from Karaval Milan president Ronald Nazareth, Byndoor. The programme continued with the prayer service led by Pius James D'Souza. All the children entered in procession to offer the flowers to Mother Mary. As the gathering sang traditional hymns like ‘Sokkod Sangata Mellean' and 'Moriyek Hogollsiyan', children offered flowers to Mother Mary.
After offering the flowers, president Ronald Nazareth in his speech condemned the attack on Christians in Mangalore and declared that Karaval Milan extends its full support Christian brethren in Mangalore. Special prayers were offered for restoring peace in native place.
On the occasion to mark the 3rd anniversary of www.karavalmilan.com, committee members cut the cake along with editor Sunil Fernandes, Kota. Also strong pillars of Karaval Milan, Lawrence and Dora D'Almeida, Eric and Gretta D'Souza cut the cake on completing 15 years of married life.
Exiting games were conducted by Prakash Rebello and Pius for children and elders. Prizes were distributed to the winners. The prizes were sponsored by Lawrence D'Almeida.
Mind-blowing music by Goldina D'Souza kept the audience busy in dancing. Melodious songs were sung by Rony Byndoor, Nelson Lewis, Glen Mendonca and others.
Authentic and traditional food sponsored by Eric D'Souza was served on the occasion.
Vice-president Nanu Marol Thottam proposed vote of thanks.
