Mangaluru: World Environment Day observed at Shakthi Residential School

Mangaluru, Jun 20: To commemorate ‘World Environment Day’, Shakthi Residential School, Shakthinagar, organised a programme on June 14.

A special assembly to mark the event was showcased by the students of Class V. The theme ‘Seed’ was enacted and a song was sung by the children.

Drawing competition was conducted for the students of grade I to V on the topic ‘Forest /Nature Drawing/Save Nature’. The children painted colourful pictures about nature.



Administrator Janardana Baikady, principal of the college Prabhakar G S, principal of the school Madhulika and the institute development officer Naseem Banu along with the teachers and students planted saplings in the school campus.

Speaking on occasion, the principal said, “Students should show interest in saving the fauna, flora and the nature. If we save nature, nature saves us.”
