Mangaluru: Yoga Club inaugurated at Vikas PU College

Mangaluru, Jun 20: On the occasion of the International Yoga Day, Yoga Club was inaugurated at Vikas PU College on Wednesday, June 20.

Yoga Ratna Gopalakrishna Delampady inaugurated the club. He said that yoga is for the concentration and stability of mind and it is also helpful for stress relief and for the brain to get rest. He advised students to follow the rules of yoga strictly. He concluded the programme by demonstrating various ‘asanas’ and ‘mudras’.



Laxmeesh Bhat, lecturer in Sanskrit, delivered a talk on ‘The Importance of Yoga’. Ajith Rai, lecturer in Kannada, compered the programme. Correspondent Dr D Shripathi Rao, advisor Dr G Ananth Prabhu, and counsellor Dr Manjula Anil Rao were also present.
