Lucknow: Army officer dies in car accident


Lucknow, Jun 25 (IANS): An Army officer was burnt to death on Monday when he got trapped in his car which caught fire on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, police said.

Lt Rahul Yadav, a resident of Etawah, was travelling to Farrukhabad with his family for a religious function when his car crashed into a divider and caught fire.

The accident took place near Hardu village. Four others were saved as villagers broke the glass panes of the car and pulled them out, a police official told IANS.
