Mangaluru: Flash mob cum skit perfomed by Aloysians at City Centre Mall

Mangaluru, Jun 30: Centre for Social Concern of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and BA Social Work department organised a flash mob cum skit performance as a part of observing of International day against Drug and Illicit Trafficking, in the ground floor of City Centre Mall on June 28. As many as 25 students from different UG streams performed in it.

The programme started with a flash mob and later shifted to a skit on drug abuse among adolescents. Large crowd including mall staffs, students, police officials and faculties from the college gathered at the venue. Udhay M Nayak, assistant commissioner of police, central subdivision, Mangaluru, officials of Economic and Narcotic Crime police station Pandeshawar, Manjula, Shyam Sundar, Lakshmeesha, head constable, Anuradha Murudeshwara, assistant sub inspector, North police station, Pandeshawar and Ganeh Mulky Nayak, freelance programme organiser were present.



Soon after the programme, the students collected signatures of the audience on a memorandum which demands for the prohibition of smoking areas inside bars and restaurants in Karnataka.
