Udupi: Montessori students of Vakwadi Gurukul School enjoy 'Red Day'

Udupi, Jun 30: The Montessori kindergarten students of Vakwadi Gurukul School, Koteshwar here celebrated the 'day of red' on June 29, one of the prominent colours of that day. The purpose of the programme was to introduce the children to the colour.

Usually children get attracted to colour. Therefore, it is felt that it is good to introduce colours to children before teaching other subjects.

All the children of the class wore red clothes. Various red coloured items like decorations, toys, fruits and maps could be seen in the class. Teachers wore red sarees. They undertook activities with the children, sang and danced. Children filled pictures with red and had a great time.

Teachers fed the children with red jam applied on bread. Red nail polish was applied to the children's nails.

The school management joint executive Anupama S Shetty, school principal Arvind V Marali and headmistress Vishala Shetty were present.
