Udupi, Jun 30: “It is natural to have differences between coalition members in a government. There can be differences even between husband and wife. Though we fought before elections, we have become one from the next day of elections results,” said MLC Boje Gowda.
He was speaking to media here on Saturday, June 30.
Lashing out at the recent statements by Member of Parliament, Ananth Kumar Hegde, Boje Gowda said that the tongue should not be allowed to twist like that just because it is sharp. “We also have sharp tongues. We too can speak to hurt you,” he said.
“Yeddyurappa is a seasoned politician. Such childish statement from him is not correct. His invitation to Congress and JD(S) MLAs to join BJP is wrong,” he opined.
“Let BJP MP first visit the area affected by floods. Let him prepare a report of the losses there and submit it to the state government. The Congress-JD(S) government is strong. We will provide compensation to the affected areas.” he said.
Expressing his anger at the government circular warning government schools of cuts in aid if they do not perform well, he asked the concerned education department officials to ask for opinions of elected representatives before sending such circulars.
Expressing anguish at IAS officer Shikha, he said that her dictatorship-like policy cannot be tolerated. “Do not compare private schools with aided schools. All types of students come under mandatory education. We have shortage of teachers. One should work understanding the limitations,” he warned.
He also expressed anguish for curtailing PUC holidays.
