Bengaluru: Rahul Gandhi rewarded even those who did menial jobs – D K Shivakumar

Bengaluru, Jul 2 (DHNS): Water Resources Minister o K Shivakumar on Sunday said that the Congress party had recognised even those who had grown up the ranks doing menial jobs like sweeping.

Addressing the gathering after felicitating the newly elected Indian Youth Congress vice president Srinivas B V at Palace Grounds on Sunday, said Congress president Rahul Gandhi never hesitated from giving opportunities to leaders who had strived for the party’s growth.

He said Srinivas too was reaping the benefits of his hard work. After Congress leader B K Hariprasad, Srinivas is the only youth Congress leader from Karnataka to occupy the national vice president post.

"Rahul has recognised the work of even those grew up the party ladder doing menial jobs like sweeping. Nobody in the party had even imagined that G C Chandrashekar would one day become a Rajya Sabha ember. Many senior leaders had lobbied for the ticket. But Rahul chose to reward three young leaders for their hard work and gave them the tickets,” he added.

First of all we must thank Congress for giving power and tolerating Rahul Gandhi. No political party in this world ever can trust a consistent loser than this congress.

Really one should appreciate the greatness of Gandhi family. Because of their generosity even a primary school educated man is heading a higher education portfolio in Karnataka.
