Investiture ceremony held at Yenepoya University

Mangaluru, Jul 2: The investiture ceremony was held at the Yendurance zone, Yenepoya University, Derelakatte, Mangaluru on June 30.

The welcome address was given by the principal Joseph Mechirath.

Dr Akhter Husain, head of the department of Orthodontics, Yenepoya University was the chief guest. Yenepoya Moideen Khurshid, director of the Yenepoya Group, Mishria Javeed, campus director, the Yenepoya School, the proud parents of the newly elected cabinet members and some of the former head boys and head girls were on the dais.

The Formal Programme began with an introduction of the investiture ceremony, after which the badges and sashes were conferred to the newly elected members of the school council for the year 2018 – 2019 by the dignitaries.



The members of the cabinet then took their oath, lead by head boy, Vishnu P Alokkan and head girl, Ritu Raj, after which the former head girl handed over the Yenepoya school flag to the head boy and head girl for the year 2018 – 2019.

After the formal oath-taking ceremony, some of the former head boys and head girls spoke a few words, after which the chief guest Dr Akhter Husain addressed the gathering.

Mementoes were given to the former head boys and head girls and the programme concluded with the vote of thanks.

    Youth is the backbone of our nation and guiding them in right direction is the duty of the educator... The Yenepoya School has always provided ample opportunities for the students to develop their leadership skills. Investiture ceremony for the year 2018-19 was yet another platform for the young leaders of tomorrow... Good programme.
