Blood donation camp ‘Yen Blood Connect 2018’ held at Yenepoya School

Mangaluru, Jul 2: On the occasion of Doctor’s Day 2018, the students of Grade IX conducted a blood donation camp, ‘Yen Blood Connect 2018’, organized at the Yenepoya School, Jeppinamogaru, in collaboration with the Yenepoya medical college, Deralakatte.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr Alfred Augustine, Dr Vikram Shetty and Dr Prajaktha Kulkarni along with Joseph Mechirath, principal of the Yenepoya school and Mishria Javeed, campus director.

More than 60 donors including Dr Prajaktha Kulkarni, staff members, parents and degree students of the Yenepoya College, Balmatta, voluntarily donated blood on this occasion.



Dr Sharif, head of the blood bank, Yenepoya medical college, spoke on the importance of blood donation along with Dr Joby E C, principal of the Yenepoya degree college, Balmatta.

    "A single pint can save three lives, a single gesture can create a million smiles." With this thought in mind The Yenepoya School organized a blood donation camp in the school premises. It was indeed a moment of honour and pride to be a part of this noble cause. It was really heart touching to see the parents, employees and Yenepoya degree college students rendering their service to the cause of humanity.
