After Mandsaur incident, another minor is raped in Satna of MP

Satna (Madhya Pradesh), Jul 3 (IANS): In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped on Sunday in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh and dumped at a secluded place, police said on Monday. The accused has been arrested.

The incident comes days after the incident of brutal gang-rape of a seven-year-old girl in Mandsaur of the state on June 26.

According to the police, the minor was found in a bad shape in Parasmania area of the district. The accused, Mahendra Singh, 23, had taken away the child when she was sleeping in the courtyard of her house.

After committing rape, when Singh felt that the minor had died due to the excesses, he dumped her body at a secluded place close to Unchehara Police Station of Satna district.

As the parents, along with the villagers, started looking for the child, they found her lying in a precarious condition. She was admitted in a nearby hospital. On getting a clue, they caught hold of the accused, who was beaten and handed over to the police.

Satna Superintendent of Police Rajesh Hingankar told reporters that the accused had been arrested and that the incident was being further looked into.

Meanwhile, the condition of Mandsaur rape victim, who is undergoing treatment at an Indore hospital, is said to be improving gradually. She talked to the people with gestures and was able to walk a few steps.

Both accused in the case have been arrested. People are demanding death sentence for the two.

Soon we will be called as "Rapistan" and it's an achievement. Sad state of affairs. Why the government enact strict laws to curb rapes? They have majority but they don't do as many of their class will be punished if they enact strict laws. God save India. Indian democracy sucks. We need strong military rule who will rule the country efficiently and which shows no mercy to rapists and criminals.

well there is double standard on this crime.

justice for kavya many people shouted and many candle march ..but this incident many are quite.
Rahul gandhi said its sad incident but no words for culprits .NDTC in this case says no politics on rape case.
Rapes were happening before too. but since bcs of the media now we get the news ..even though some news like this media is not showing also we are getting through social media.
we should be strict and firm on the culprits then only we can take action.

That is my point. Central Government has majority so can't they enact strict laws? If government is interested they can pass any law. With regard to hike in payment to MP's or MLA's they pass law within no seconds. Why don't they pass strict laws to punish rapists? In India rapists are roaming around freely. With regard to your point that rapes used to happen before also. So, shall we wait for another ten years to get justice for rape victims of today? It is the need of the hour.
