Man beheads woman teacher in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Jul 3 (IANS): In a bizarre incident, a mentally challenged person on Tuesday beheaded a woman teacher in Jharkhand's Seraikela district and roamed the streets while holding her head, police said.

A police officer said that Hari Hembrom, 45, used to stare at Sukuru Heresa, 35, whenever she reported for duty at the government-run primary school at Khapsarai village.

On Tuesday, Hari called her out. As she came out of the school premises, he attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon. After beheading her, he carried her head around before the police was informed.

The reason for the murder is yet to be known.
