Mangaluru: Vanmahotsav celebrated at Milagres CBSE School

Mangaluru, Jul 3: Vanmahotsav, a week-long festival of tree plantation is organized every year in the first week of July across India when millions of trees are planted. The members of Science/Eco Club of Milagres CBSE School, Mangaluru celebrated Vanmahotsav on Tuesday, July 3.

During the programme Gagan of Grade 8 highlighted the significance of the celebration. To mark the day campus director Fr Michael Santhumayor, principal and vice principal along with student representatives planted saplings. The campus director in his message stressed the need of planting and tending saplings to save our earth from the adverse effects of deforestation.

The programme concluded with a patriotic song. Muzzammil compered the programme.
