Bengaluru, Jul 6: On Tuesday, a famous pub in the posh Indiranagar locality here was raided by the police. During the raid, 32 women were rescued and six persons were arrested. The operation was conducted by Jeevan Bima Nagar police in the city.
The pub is located in the 80 feet road at Indiranagar. The police alleged that the women in question were clad in skimpy clothes and the management of the pub wanted them to engage in obscene acts.
Deputy commissioner of police of city (east) said that management of the pub was booked after finding the above irregularities going on there.
The owner and manager of the pub have been charged with various offences listed in Indian Penal Code. The police stated that the girls, who were hired as bartenders, were forced to do indecent performances live, to attract customers.
