Key equity indices open in green


Mumbai, Jul 10 (IANS): The key Indian equity indices opened on a positive note on Tuesday.

At 9.25 a.m., the broader Nifty50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) traded at 10,896.35 points -- higher by 43.45 points or 0.40 per cent -- from its previous close of 10,852.90 points.

The barometer 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), which had opened at 36,068.27 points, traded at 36,085.17 points (9.25 a.m.) - up by 150.45 points or 0.42 per cent -- from its previous session's close of 35,934.72 points.

Sensex has so far touched a high of 36,095.80 points and a low of 36,019.63 points during the intra-day trade. The BSE market breadth was bullish with 894 advances and 338 declines.
