New Delhi, Jul 10: Congress and BJP have hit a new low in political discourse. Congress has employed strange means to attack the BJP with the latter not to be left behind. In short, both have hit each other below the belt.
The social media teams of BJP and Congress are playing tit for tat, and trolling each other with clips of ‘son-in-law’ of Narendra Modi and ‘daughter-in-law’ of Sonia Gandhi.
On Monday evening, Congress social media and digital communications chief Divya Spandana, also known a Ramya, tagged Narendra Modi in a Rakhi Sawant’s post and wrote “Modiji, you now have a son-in-law”. The clip has Rakhi Sawant saying she has found a groom for herself in New York. "Friends, all were saying when I will find a groom for myself. Now be happy. Meet him. I am in New York and he is my groom," she says turning the focus of the camera towards a man who is seen driving the car and asks him "Sweetheart, say hi."

Sawant goes on to tell her prospective groom, "All Indians are watching you now, including my Prime Minister Modi. Modi is a big fan of mine," she says as she is a Bollywood actress. "Take a look Modiji. Meet your son-in-law... I didn't get any partner in India but have got one in New York," the item girl is heard saying.
The clip was shared by Divya Spandana to take a dig at the PM. However, her ‘humour’ hit back in the same style when spokesperson of Delhi Unit of BJP Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga posted a clip of a woman who claims marrying Rahul Gandhi with a tweet, "Soniaji, your daughter-in-law has been found."
The woman in the clip says that she has made up her mind to marry Rahul Gandhi because "he is a nice person, a senior politician and the son of a PM". The woman admits that the Congress president has not made any promises with her in person. "But whenever I see him in my dreams, he makes promises to me, says he likes me and that he will do whatever I will tell him to. I will give you the status of a wife, he says, but then he cheats me always," she is heard saying.
While the tit for tat seems amusing for many in twitterati, many have criticized the social media teams of both the parties for hitting a new low.
