New Delhi: NDTV to Split into Two Companies

New Delhi, Oct 4:
To unlock the shareholders’ value, NDTV will be split into two companies. The present listed company NDTV Ltd will engage in non-news business. The newly-formed company following the demerger will engage in news and allied business.

After the demerger, for every one share currently held in NDTV Ltd, a shareholder will receive one share in new company. The aim of the demerger is to unlock shareholder value as well as provide increased choice and flexibility to shareholders. Moreover, the news business and the entertainment businesses operate under very different regulatory environments.
