New Delhi, Jul 16 (TOI): In its latest editorial, Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' wonders whether fugitive loan defaulter Vijay Mallya has become the BJP's new 'brand ambassador'. The Shiv Sena's peg for this comment was a recent statement by Union minister Jual Oram that the tribal community should emulate Mallya + , a "smart man" who "employed some intelligent people and influenced bankers, politicians (and) government". "After giving such noteworthy advice, it's clear that the Union minister is exhibiting the BJP's true face," said the editorial in 'Saamana’.
It further said that despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi specifically telling ministers not to speak out of turn they still are, and this is showing the real BJP, a BJP that daily "dishes out new lies, and new 'jumlas' just to remain power".
"I accidentally took Vijay Mallya's name. I should have taken someone else's name. I should not have taken his name, it was my mistake," he said, reported news agency ANI.
