'We Care and Share ' to celebrate decennial jubilee in Mangaluru on Jul 22

Mangaluru, Jul 17: ‘We Care and Share,’ a humanitarian association, which focuses on pro-social activities will be celebrating its decennial jubilee on Sunday, July 22 at 10.00 am at Don Bosco Hall, Mangaluru.

Mangaluru Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will preside over the programme. Former MLA J R Lobo, Ivory Grand (Dubai) Proprietor Michael D’Souza, Reliable Group of Companies (Dubai) James Mendonca, Ursuline Franciscan Congregation Superior General Sr. Susheela Sequeira UFS will be the chief guests. Pontifical Congregation Director Fr Faustine Lobo, Daijiworld Media Group Founder Walter Nandalike, Konkani Sahitya Academy Former President Roy Castelino, Br. Victor Crasta Capuchin from Assisi Press Mangaluru, Managing Director Delmon Fuels (Dubai) Melwyn D’Cunha will be the guests of honour.

 

After the stage programme, there will be a musical event led by Konkani music world’s well-known singers and composers such as Eric Ozario, Joyce Ozario, Melwyn Peris, Kevin Misquith , Roshan Rodrigues, Venessa Saldanha and the young sensational such as Jason Lobo, Joyline Lobo, Oshin Theodore and Diyel D’Souza. Roshan D’Souza, Angelore will provide the music for event. The dancers of Nach Sobhann will perform the dances.

During the event ‘Jivith’, a souvenir which contains the details of mission ‘We Care and Share’ will be released.

‘We Care and Share’ had its birth in Dubai on 31 March 2008, under the leadership of Fr Freddy D’Souza, OFM.

Five like-minded young people Everest D’Souza, Maxim Lobo, Franky D’Souza, Jerald D’Souza and Vimala Monteiro were its founding members and in the later years, many other enthusiastic people joined and today there are 136 members.

The main objective of this group is to help the poor and the needy. It provides financial support to many families to come out of their poverty and struggle and to many students to pursue their education.

The association arranges for accommodation for many young poor boys and girls who have completed their education, helping them to find jobs in UAE which would help them to take care of their families. Till date the organisation has helped 50 youngsters to get jobs in Dubai..

Apart from this, ‘We Care and Share’ has helped 87 poor children for their education, 10 families to construct houses, 21 sick people for their medical expenses, helped women welfare institutions, helped the houses with sick people, contributed to the needs of the church, provided clothing to orphanages and food and various other smaller contributions.

Fr Freddy D’Souza along with three members established and registered ‘We Care N Share Trust’. Arun D’Souza, Palimar is a managing trusty. We Care and Share, Daily Bread and AKR also come under this trust.
