Maharashtra businessman secured Rs 5400 crore loans in name of farmers

Nagpur, Jul 18(PTI): Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde on Wednesday said a businessman had allegedly secured loans worth over Rs 5400 crore on the basis of fake documents made in the name of farmers.

Raising the issue under Rule 289, Munde (NCP) said Ratnakar Gutte, promoter of the Gangakhed Sugar and Energy Limited in the state's Parbhani district, had also transferred bank loans obtained by various groups firms into different accounts.

He claimed Gutte had formed 22 shell companies to route the money.

"In 2015, Gangakhed Sugar Factory procured bank loans in the names of more than 600 farmers under the 'Harvest and Transport scheme'. These farmers are now getting bank notices for loans amounts some of which are as high as Rs 25 lakh," Munde claimed.

He further alleged that several companies which were part of the group were shell companies which had little or no assets of value.

Munde informed the House that an FIR had been registered against Gutte on July 5 this year under various sections of the IPC but no arrest had been made so far.

Calling the issue a very serious one, Munde said that any laxity on the part of the government could allow the businessman to flee the country like PNB scam-accused diamantaire Nirav Modi.

Council Chairman Ramraje Nimbalkar took cognisance of the issue raised by Munde and sought information from the government.

Nimbalkar asked the government whether the Special Investigation Team formed to probe the matter was appointed by the court or not.

PM Modi and BJP promised the nation before 2014 Lok Sabha elections 'Corruption free' India.

During the UPA II corruption cases are in 'lakh' crores with every corruption 'G' suffix added.

After Modi sarkar came to power the same corruption reached in 'Billions' and at the same time, Swiss Bank account holders and economic fraudsters escape also increased.

In other hands, RBI is still counting 'Deomonitized' currencies while BJP leaders won personal cash counting machine.

Now 2019 Lok Sabha elections are looming and failed in all policies, 'Ayodhya', 'Triple Talaq' and 'Jinnah' to deflect from original issues.
This is the reality of PM Modi centers 'Good Governance'.

Nothing surprising. All these NCP people follow the example set by their leader.
Sharad Pawar is showing an income in tens of crores in his daughter's name arising out of a small land only few acres. The technology of generating such huge income from such small agricultural land should go in Genie's Book of records and should be awarded prize ( just like Mallyas, Modies, and Shahs).

    India has 125 crore people.
Out of that 30%, i.e. 37.5 crore are below poverty line.
Scams are taking place of Rs.5400/- crores, and several like that!!!
When we look at the scams taking place and people below poverty line,
Is it really NOT POSSIBLE to bring the people out of poverty line?

Yes all bhakts running to defend the businessman; just a few days ago some bhakts commented that goberment should not waive loans of farmers it will make them lazy.....

the reason is very clear now; the goberment should not waive these loans because the poor farmers have to repay loans which they never took; our leaders ideology; Chor businessmen and party leaders loot the banks with connivance of bank directors and the poor Indians pay with their life's savings to keep the banks from going bankrupt.

Good sir you have almost another year; make hay while the sun shines.
