IS beheads Taliban commander in Afghanistan


Kabul, Jul 18 (IANS): Militants loyal to the Islamic State captured and beheaded a senior commander of the rival Taliban on Wednesday amid fierce fighting between the two groups in Afghanistan's Jawzjan province, a government spokesman said.

The two groups have been locked in a battle over the past one week in Darzab district. On Wednesday, the Islamic State militants killed Taliban's Mullah Burjan, Xinhua news agency reported.
