Mangalore, Oct 6: Contingents of the Indian army should be sent to Kandhamal district in Orissa where attacks on Christians still continue, said Dr John Dayal, secretary general, All India Christian Council, on Sunday October 5.

This must be followed by a total change in the police and the civil administration, which have proved incompetent, partisan, bigoted, and tainted at the highest level, he said.

Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Dr Dayal said that the home ministers of Karnataka and Orissa should be sacked alongwith senior police and civil officers for their complicity and sympathy with the assailant fascist forces.

Organizations and individuals carrying out or inciting communal violence should be proscribed immediately and the CBI should be ordered to carry out investigations into the circumstances leading to the murder of VHP leader Swami Lakshmananand Saraswathi and the organized violence that followed, he demanded.

Compensations to families of those killed and injured in the communal violence, should be given at the earliest. Besides, security should be ensured for all to create a fearless society, he urged.

In India President of India is the supreme commander of armed forces . what about at the state level - Our governor should have the final say in every police transfer. Right now the state law makes the police force at the receiving end of the political party in the power. YOU DONT BLAME THE POLICE HERE- BLAME THE HOME MINISTER, Blame his PARTY, BLAME HIS Outfits(anti-national) who are expliting the peoples mandate given to them to rule the state.

Mr. Vishal DSouza, for you it is a finished chapter before the guilty is cought and punished. Though some of the physical wounds of the victims might be healing, the scars and agony may not heal that easy. Do you mean to say, somebody is murderd, the chapter is finished, live as if nothing is happened, carry on with life! No need of justice or punishment to the barbarian, Is it?

Not just deploying army in the affected areas but also punishing the culprits starting from Bajarang Dal- VHP activists, police officers and their men, home minister and his troupe should be punished for acting irresponsibly and disturbing the social harmony permanently. No earthly justice would suffice to make these culprits undergo trials, but nature has to act severely with them.

Dear Shaun, Mangalore / NOIDA, If a Hindu, Muslim or Buddhist are chased to kill by the outfits/outlaws I will shelter them if they seek shelter. If they are criminals I will handover to police. Nobody has the right to kill or make physical injuries to any one.

Mr. Lynn, u are 100% right. These cowards use Christian names and trying to poison the minds of readers who visit this website to know happenings in their hometown. I request authorities not to entertain this type of hypocrits to interfere in good discussions here.

These people are already doing such exercises in other print & electronic media. They have no work, responsibility and hence think always poisonous ideas/theories (An idle's mind is devils workshop). The person who uses Vishal DSouza as his name must be a psycho. And hence such people should not be allowed here. I ask that person to look into his business and mind his language.

Church in Saudi Arabia - Mr Walter Saudi Arabia is a monarchy and its constitution is Islamic and governed by Islamic Shariah. So you dont find a church there. In Vetican definitely you wont find a temple or mosque. But India is a democratic secular republic with secular constitution. So you will find all religion and their places of worship in India. Tomorrow, if some one gets enlightenment and founded a new religion, that too shall have a place in the Indian soil and in the Indian constitution. Hope I answered your question.

Looks like there are few people commenting on daiji in christian names but who are definitely not christians!! They are staunch Bajrang/BJP/VHP supporters justifying their actions in christian names.

Padmanabha Shenoy & Vishal D'Souza I think if Hindus were butchered and driven out of their homes then you would have sang a different tone right?? The reason for you to comment like this is because Chritsians are at the recieving end so you would like us NOT to make a noise and sit quietly. But Mr.Shenoy the wounds are still fresh and it will take a long time to heal

Secondly I do not subscribe to Vishal's views... saying that this guy is just pouring petrol on the already extinguished fire. Having said that ... I really wonder if Vishal is using a "pseudo name" to hide his true identity as his tone and comments in the past too have always been biased.

Our Minister V.S.Acharya and His Police Team Can not tackle or Trace Terrorist activities and their centers in our state. For that reason outside state Police investigation team Comes and tracks down.  Our Karnataka Police have much time for serving notices to the peace loving community.V.S.Acharya is totally failure and he is always behind Yediyurappa. We need good leaders like Shri Jagadish Shettar and team to run our state.

The Police in Gujrath had done this and afterwards the Muslims were targeted and killed. More than 2000 Muslims had died during that period. Same thing the Sang Parivar is doing for Christians elsewhere and the Police are supporting them. Minorities have lost faith in State Governments and their Police forces. Deploying Army is the only solution.

Dr. John Dayal's demand is justified. Mr. Vishal's blind support to Sang Parivar is really dangerous. Let us see the facts and then give comments. Those people who killed the Father of our Nation cannot be trusted at all. Jai Hind.

Mr. Praveen Lobo will you guard nations borders?? So you need Army to be deployed in each & every place where there is communal violence. I think you should come down to India & join Army so that we can have peace. Dubai doesn't work out, do you think India same as Dubai in size??? Ask your family members to join Indian forces too..

The Indian Army should be placed immediately wherever there is communal violence, because the local police and politicians show partiality and act according to the pressure as they too belong to one or the other group of that area.

Are we christians misusing the independence what we have here in India?? Can we open a church in Muslim dominated countries as we like?? We christians much educated should think what actually it is?? The notice served here it is for a centre which is not recognised by RC. So we don't have any right to question it..! Also when there is problem we need police & some one says police don't have any right to ask..! Is it right???

The Police notice to the church is illegal as the State Govt. is indulging in creating terror amongst minority people. Faith is a private matter of people, and I feel that the police has no business to know who and where one is praying.

If they are so interested in this type of data, there should be a visitor log in mosques as well as all the Hindu temples. India is not the property of Hindu people. This attitude of police clearly shows the treatment minority people in India has to go through. I think all the broadminded people should come forward and condemn this type of racial and religious profiling.
