Islamabad, Jul 20 (IANS): At least four people, including a child, were injured in a bombing on Friday in Chaman city of Pakistan's Balochistan province.
Between five and six kilogramme of explosives fitted in a parked motorcycle on Chaman city's Mall Road were detonated through a remote control, police told Geo News.
According to police, a vehicle belonging to law enforcement agencies was targeted in the incident. The vehicle, along with nearby cars and shops, was damaged in the explosion.
The injured, two of whom were reported critical, were taken to a hospital.
Internet services were suspended an hour before the incident took place as law enforcement agencies received information about a security threat.
The incident took place just before the fast-approaching polls due to be held on July 25. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation for the miscreants involved in the attack.
