Udupi: Goddess Sharada Worshipped for Peace, Prosperity

Udupi, Oct 7: The idol of Goddess Sharada was installed for public worship at the Sri Laxmi Venkatesh temple on Monday October 6. Prakash Shenoy, proprietor, Mysore Steel House, donated a silver ‘veena’, weighing 8 kgs and worth Rs 3 lac, the Goddess on the occasion.



The Sri Rama Sene also installed an idol of Goddess Sharada in front of Shiroor Math, for the third consecutive year. The procession for immersion of the idols will be held on Wednesday October 8, as is the custom in the region.
