Mysuru, Jul 22: Premakumari, who had hit the headlines a few years back after claiming to be romantically involved with former minister and BJP MLA, S A Ramadas, created a scene opposite the said MLA's office here on Saturday by trying to end her life.

Premakumari arrived near the office of Ramadas without any prior intimation. She removed the veil of the Churidar she was wearing, and tried to end her life by tightening the noose around her neck. The locals stopped her from going ahead with her plan. The police, who got information, arrived at the spot, and took her away.

Speaking on the occasion, Premakumari claimed that Ramadas had promised to marry her in the past, but has now been planning to cheat her. "Before the assembly election, he assured me that he would marry me. Now he has been moving around covertly, escaping from me," she said. She demanded to make arrangements for her to meet Ramadas, failing which she threatened to kill herself.
