Mangaluru Jul 24: 'Vishwa Tulu Sammelana 2018’ will be organised on November 23 and 24 at Al-Nasar Liesureland Ice Rink Indoor Stadium Dubai,” informed Sarvotham Shetty, chief convenor of Sagarottara Tuluvaru.

Addressing media here on Tuesday July 24, Sarvotham Shetty said, "This is the first convention of NRI Tuluvas. Convention is jointly organised by Sagarottara Tuluvaru, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota. The chief guest for the event will be Dharamadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Padma Shree awardee Dr B R Shetty will preside over the function. Bishop of Mangaluru diocese, Muslim preachers, presidents of Tulu organisations from America, Australia, United Kingdom will grace the occasion,”

"Delegates from Mumbai, Delhi, Baroda, Nasik, Sangli, Pune, Chennai, Hubballi, Dharwad and Belagavi will take part in this convention. In the remembrance of Vishwa Tulu Sammelana, a sovereign 'Vishwa Tulu Aisiri’ will be released on the occasion,” he informed.

"During this event folk dance competition will be organised. Teams from Muscat, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE will take part in this competition. Several other programmes will also be conducted likes of Tala Maddale, Yakshagana, Tulu orchestra, Bhootaradhane, Daivaraadhane and many more,” Sarvotham Shetty said.

President of Tulu Sahitya Academy A C Bhandary, Kadri Navaneet Shetty and others were present.
