Udupi: KMC to Conduct National Level CME and Training Programme in Orthopaedics

Udupi, Oct 8:
Orthopedic department of Kasturba Medical College and Hospital Manipal will conducting a national level Continuing Medical Education Programme "CME- ORTHO 2008". The Programme  will be inaugurated at 10.30 am on  Friday October 10 at Chaitya hall, Valley View International, Manipal, a release by KMC Manipal said.
 
The scientific programme includes instructional course lectures, clinical discussions and interactive session on radiology, Orthoses and prosthesis. Dr Ramdas M Pai, president, Manipal University will be the chief guest and Dr H S Ballal, pro-Chancellor, Manipal University will preside over the function. Dr P Sripathi Rao, dean of Kasturba Medical College Manipal and Dr T S Raghuraman, chief operating officer, Kasturba Hospital Manipal will be the guests of Honour, it has been informed.
 
In this programme, post graduate doctors in Orthopaedics from all over the India will participate. A panel of eminent orthopaedic surgeons comprising of Dr Varghese Chacko, former professor and head of the deparment of orthopaedics, KMC, Manipal, Dr Shantharam Shetty, Vice Chancellorof Nitte University,  Dr Sudhakar Shetty, professor and head of the department of orthopaedics, Yenapoya Medical College, Mangalore, Dr Prakash Kotwal, head of the department of orthopaedics, AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Jagadeesh, director, BIIRD, Tirupathi and in-house faculty comprising of Dr Bhaskaranand Kumar, Dr S P Mohanty, Dr P Sripathi Rao and Dr Sharath K Rao all from Kasturba Hospital Manipal will be participating, the release has explained.
