Mangaluru: Young barber thrashed for alleged misbehaviour at Urwa

Mangaluru, Jul 24: A youth was allegedly assaulted by another youth on Tuesday, July 24 near Urwa market.

Krishna (19), who works at a salon at Urwa market was beaten up by an unknown youth alleging that he had 'misbehaved' and tried to handover a letter to a girl from the same community.

According to sources, the youth came to the salon and took a pic of Krishna and forwarded it to someone. Once he received a reply from the other end, he used abusive language and physically assaulted Krishna.

The youth brought in more people into the salon. Meanwhile, a huge crowd too had gathered. The police, who received information of the incident, arrived at the spot and controlled the situation.

A case was registered at Urwa police station.
