Mysuru, Jul 25: Firmly believing that drowning in a holy river would rid them of their sins and help them to attain salvation, an aged couple jumped into River Kapila. In this incident which happened near Nanjangudu in the district, the wife survived while her husband lost his life.

The incident happened on Tuesday July 24.

Nagaraju (70) and his wife, Kalavathi (60), residents of Hebbal, Bengaluru, wanted to die together without waiting to suffer from ill health, and seal their places in their life after death by jumping into a holy river. They came together to Nanjangudu and jumped into River Kapila. While Nagaraju died, Kalavathi survived. She is being treated in the government hospital at Nanjangudu.

A case about this incident was registered in Nanjangudu police station.

There is no relationship between god and religion. Religion is man made stuff to grab power through fear and obedience. God is beyond religion.

blind faith, to save accept our faults and truly regret what done and repent with God, not to try kill self, now may real regret will start in wife, but husband lost that,
all has to remember if we sin against God we has to repent with god to solve,if we sin against man we need to ask forgiveness with man and accept past mistake.

Wife is a good swimmer but what about her commitment. (sorry)
    There is a popular saying:
When forming a que, entering lift, entering the bus etc. - Ladies, on demand claim Ladies first
But when time comes leave this world (and supposedly go to hell) men first.

Live good life to the fullest and leave the rest for God. Do not take away life by any means. Salvation is attained only by sinless life. Thank you and God bless each and evry one of us.
