Udupi, Jul 25: The Student Welfare Council of Milagres College, Kallianpur was recently inaugurated by Prof Rajan V N, principal, St Mary’s College, Shirva.
Addressing the gathering, he said, “The world is changing at a very rapid rate because of the use of technology. Under the guidance of expert teachers, students have to quickly adapt and grow as responsible citizens alongside carving a career path for themselves under such circumstances.” Dr Laxman, alumnus and associate professor of Chemistry at University College, Mangaluru recollected his days at Milagres College and praised the efforts of his teachers in his growth.
Principal Dr Vincent Alva administered the oath to the student leaders. President of the function Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza stressed on the need for value education in the modern world. Prof Annamma, director SWC, campus minister Fr Dr Prakash Anil Castelino, managing council members, PTA president Uday Kumar, former principal Dr Nery Cornelio and Dr Gerald Pinto, staff and students were present on the occasion.
Sushmitha, alumnus who cleared the IIT-JAM in Physics was felicitated on the occasion.
Dr Herald Monis, director SWC welcomed the gathering.
