Mangalore: Mohammed Darimi Calls for Eradication of Terrorism

Mangalore, Oct 8: Talent Research Foundation advisor S B Mohammed Darimi, speaking at a press conference held in the city on Tuesday October 7, called upon the Muslim youth not to fall prey to the conspiracies being hatched by religious fundamentalist groups in the name of Islam, and instead strive for peace and harmony which are the real aims of Islam. He also asked them to concentrate on eradicating terrorism.

Terrorism, which has posed a serious challenge to the internal security of India, is robbing the sleep of Indians. Indians Muslim youth should wake up to realities and take care not to join hands with the communal forces.  We request them to deal with strangers only after getting full information about them and their activities, he requested.

"Islam always lays stress on peace and brotherhood. Terrorism activities do not get any support under Islamic principles. Having full faith in the Indian constitution, we want terrorism to be rooted out. Legal steps should be initiated against all terrorists, regardless of to which group or religion they belong to. This will save innocents from becoming scapegoats. Youth need to be very careful on this front," he advised.

Sachar Committee has confirmed that Muslim community is plagued by various problems. The Muslim youth should engage themselves in poverty eradication, educational awareness and such other people-friendly activities and work for the development of their community, he advised.

Foundation president Abdul Salam Perne, secretary Saiduddin Bajpe, Islamic Friends Foundation secretary Asif etc., were present.
