Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates Vanamahotsava

Mangaluru, Jul 25: Vanamahotsava was celebrated by Eco Club members of Carmel School, here with great zest and enthusiasm.

Lily Cutinho ,a nature lover and retired teacher of the school was chief guest of the function.

The entire programme was woven in the form of a skit which included a creative welcome, a nature prayer, variety of songs and dances connected to 'treading the green path' towards preservation.



The significance of the day was highlighted by planting of saplings in pots by Lily Cutinho, Sr Lenita vice principal and Sr Venitha, coordinator. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Lily urged the students to plant more trees and to launch a campaign to save the environment.
